1. Brand Origin

The Squeak of a Workshop That Lasted Half a Century

In an ordinary city in the Jiangnan water town, a red-brick workshop is gently embraced by three cedar trees. The air here is always filled with the warm blend of turpentine and resin——a scent engraved with the warmth of three generations of the Yee family’s palms.

2.Hold Time in Place

In 1952, Grandpa Old Yee was a painter at a factory. After work, he’d linger in his workshop, racking his brains to create an exclusive resin for his beloved wife, a token to freeze the memories of their anniversary. When neighbors saw this heartfelt gift, they flocked to him begging for ornaments that “could hold time in place”. Since then, the wooden door of the workshop has been creaking open, witnessing the passage of over half a century.

3. Craft Inheritance

When Dad took over the workshop, he carefully copied Grandpa’s handwritten formulas into a thick cowhide notebook, treating them as the most precious treasure. He gave each little girl in the works the chubby, angelic face & rose-pink blush that were exactly like his daughter’s.

Once the item was done, he’d put it in a gift box with a bow and rush to show it to Mom. Mom smiled and said, “This is the most vivid and lovely work you’ve ever made!”

4. Growth Mark

Enlightenment Under the Cedar Trees

I was born in 1986. On snowy winter days when I was little, Dad would hold me in his arms, point to the cedars outside the window, and say softly: “To be a man is like a cedar tree. No matter how heavy the snow (hardship) is, you just bend the branches slightly to shake it off and stand tall with integrity forever.”

I would often crouch by the workbench, the cradle that ignited my dream of creation.

5. Story of Love

Once a lady came to me: she wanted to turn a withered sunflower into a necklace. It was a gift from her passed away husband, and she hoped to wear it close to her heart.

I spent days working on it: soaking &flattening each faded petal and finally embedding it in resin to make a delicate necklace. Later, I received tons of thanks and tears from her. At that time, I truly understood the deep passion that Grandpa and Dad had for resin craftsmanship.

6. Cedar’s Vow

Now, our small family workshop has grown, with 12 craftsmen joining us. Every time I hold my little son in my arms, point to the THREE cedar trees outside and repeat Dad’s words to him, it feels like time has folded back and all the warmth of the past is right in front of me.
